Video of the 1941 Remontoire
A video of the Grönefeld Eight Seconds Remontoire in action.
Have a look here at the constant force mechanism in our Remontoire. Every 8 seconds a hairspring is wound by the main gear-train. The tiny hairspring delivers the torque for the escapement directly. Therefore the amplitude remains the same from fully wound to the end of the power-reserve. Result: constant amplitude and better timing performance.
